APC "Turgut"


"(...) had the good fortune to discover a new category of structures that occur only in a certain region of Mars. We are calling these 'Anomalous Pit Craters' (APCs). They are huge and mysterious dark pits (~50 to 250 meters across and sometimes more than 250 m deep) that may open into large underground caverns and likely provide access to large cave networks. We are trying to get funding to study a few similar structures that formed in Hawaii.

(...)So as of now, you may be interested to know there is a mysterious deep dark pit on Mars named 'Turgut' (at coordinates: 239.64 E, 1.67 S, photo attached).
